What is Bonfire?

Bonfire is a multimedia journal established in 2022, designed to celebrate the voices of Integrated Arts student artists at Orange County School of the Arts in Santa Ana, CA, in all the ways they choose to create. It is a space where writing, visual art, experimental forms, and hybrid work can live side by side, encouraging artists to experiment and take creative risks. Bonfire exists to give young artists a platform to share work that feels personal, bold, and honest. By offering students the opportunity to publish their work, the Bonfire team hopes to spark confidence and remind artists that their ideas deserve space and light.

Ksena Eve Jenkins

Ksena Eve Jenkins is in her senior year at Orange County School of the Arts. She has been writing for eleven years and is an author, poet, reader, and avid sitcom enthusiast. She is published in Las estrellas de Nuestra Comunidad and four editions of Bonfire. In her spare time, you can find her at a variety of coffee shops or curled up in her bed with her dog and a fantasy book (and maybe a latte too). She hopes to continue sharing her writing for as long as she possibly can.

Esa Wang

Esa Wang is a multidisciplinary student, artist, and model at the Orange County School of the Arts. She is interested in film, visual art, and performance, and founded the Global Asian Women Artists Magazine, a platform highlighting Asian creatives. Her short film The Responsibility, which explores disability and women’s rights, received recognition at the Canadian Golden Leaf Awards and screened at the LA Shorts International Film Festival. Esa is a part-time model under the agency The Society NYC as her highlighted brand recognition are Adidas Originals Designer Collection House model, etc.

Din Raz

Din Raz is a senior at the Orange County School of the Arts, and an inspired writer. Throughout his years in the Integrated Arts conservatory, Din has developed his taste and passion for creative writing, and has written numerous pieces ranging from screenplays to poetry. In his free time, he enjoys studying linguistics, reading, singing, and spending time with friends. He is eager to be a part of this edition’s Bonfire team, and looks forward to reading and publishing the pieces OCSA students submit.

Rachel Sung

Rachel Sung is currently a senior at the Orange County School of the Arts, and has been in the Integrated Arts conservatory for the past six years. Rachel’s writing has been published in two Bonfire editions and she is the lead student coordinator for the Visual Arts portion of IA Showcase. She loves visual arts, creative writing, and singing, and in her free time she loves trying new foods, reading, traveling, and watching shows and movies.

Anza Swanstrom

Anza is a senior in the Ballet & Contemporary Dance conservatory. Due to a knee injury Anza has been participating in IA Creative Writing this semester. She has loved exploring this new discipline of art, and can’t wait to continue her new passion.

Lana Lee

Lana Lee is a poet who discovered her voice only recently, but she hasn’t stopped writing since. She began sharing her work just last year and fell in love with the way language can hold both vulnerability and power.

In her first year competing, Lana became a National YoungArts Winner in Spoken Word. She also earned First Place at OC RYSE 2026, advanced as a Poetry Out Loud County Finalist 2026, and has spoken as a TEDx speaker. She writes to understand the world a little better, and to give shape to the stories that stay with her.

Shivani Sharma

Shivani Sharma is a junior in the Integrated Arts program who has always loved getting lost in the art of writing . When Shivani is not writing, she can be found at yoga, going to concerts, and hanging out with friends. She is really excited about this issue of bonfire and the hard work everyone has put in.

Parker Shipp

My name is Parker Shipp, and I’m an 11th grader in the Integrated Arts Conservatory. I’m really excited to be a part of Bonfire this semester and to get more involved with the community around me. Being in an arts program has helped me appreciate creativity, collaboration, and expressing ideas in new ways. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, working together on activities, and building great memories through Bonfire. I’m excited for the opportunities this semester will bring and can’t wait to contribute, learn new things, and be part of a group that brings people together.

Fox Finamore

I am Fox Finamore: I am an Integrated Arts 2026 graduate, I am currently an amateur photographer who uses digital and a variety of film formats. I have had a few of my pieces in a copy of Bonfire. I love taking pictures and splicing them together in various methods to make a sort of weird collage. I plan to expand on this fine art of photography, during my time in college. I have had the most fun expanding on the various mediums that I have learned during my time at OCSA. I hope you enjoy reading this message, bruh.

Simone Ponsford

Simone Ponsford is in her senior year at OCSA. She has always been passionate about writing, her favorite form of writing is Screenplay writing. Simone also loves film! In her free time, she writes and produces music, she would love to have a job in the music industry one day. She would like to thank her friends and family for letting her pursue her dreams.
